We have been longing for somewhere to put things down. For ground that holds us, rather than needs holding up.

We have been longing for a place to stop performing. To let the body speak before the mind gets there first.

hOMe is an immersive retreat led by Pippa Moss and Edo Kahn, to help that longing find its way back home.
COMING HOME
It takes most of us two or three days to properly land in a retreat. Not because anything's wrong. The body simply moves at its own pace, and that pace rarely matches the one we arrive with.

That's the week this is built around. Not a straight line toward somewhere new. A circling back, the same ground touched a little deeper each day, until whatever's been held gets to put itself down.

Through mantra, movement and sound, we keep returning to it. By the end, it isn't something you're reaching for. It feels like home. Not a place. Something you carry out the door with you when you leave.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Mornings begin in silence with Qi Gong inspired movement to meet the day gently, bare foot on the grass. We continue into morning Sadhana practice of Mantra, Meditation and Pranayama.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we meet for yoga asana practice, an opportunity to meet yourself with curiosity and kindness.

After a full and nourishing lunch, the afternoons offer time to relax by the pool, go on a leisurely hike through the forest, take a nap, sip a cup of tea, lie in your hammock, read a book, watch the nature.... We will also have one day off to allow space for integration and maybe a trip to the beach for those who would like to. That evening we come together again under the full moon for a kirtan!

As the day winds down, we gather for Mantra practice, a Vedic sound bath, or restorative yoga. We will also enjoy two full Kirtan concerts during the week.
monte da orada
A family run retreat space in Odemira, in the south of Portugal. Three hours from Lisbon, two from Faro.

Homely, with just enough luxury to feel grounded and properly comfortable. Open skies and starry nights. Nature trails leading straight from the door.

A sauna to use freely. A bio pool to cool off in. A water canal for a lazy float. Many small corners to gather in, or to be alone in, whichever the day calls for.
who this is for
Maybe you already use mantra in your practice, and kirtan is a regular date in your calendar. Or maybe you've never sung one in your life and have no idea what to expect. Either way is great!

What matters more is the feeling underneath it: a sense that you need a moment to tune in, to find your way back to whatever home means for you. Curiosity and an open mind are the only prerequisites.
travel
Airports: Lisbon (3h), Faro (2h).

Some people may chose to hire a car and drive to Orada. We can help match up other retreat guests to share the cost of the travel.

YOUR HOSTS
Pippa and Edo met at a teacher training course, more than ten years ago. Edo introduced Pippa to the harmonium, and mantra opened up from there. Their paths connected, then went their separate ways for a decade. Now they circle back together, for this.
  • Pippa Moss
    Yoga & Movement
Pippa is a yoga teacher whose work centres on helping people come home to their bodies. Her sessions blend dynamic movement with deep somatic awareness - creating space for genuine reconnection rather than performance. She brings warmth, expertise and a grounded presence that makes everyone feel safe to show up exactly as they are.
  • Edo Kahn
    Mantra & Meditation
Award winning musician and Bhakti yogi. After a pivotal trip to India turned his path toward devotion and sacred sound, he built a life around chanting, mantra and service, co-founding the charity A Sound Life and reaching millions of listeners through his mantra music. He brings sound as a doorway into presence, the same one this retreat is built around.
