You have been longing for somewhere to put things down. For ground that holds you, rather than needs holding up.

You have been longing for a place to stop performing, and feel into your inherent belonging. To let the body speak before the mind gets there first.

You have been longing for a moment to feel, to process, to allow some spaciousness to unfold, so you can catch your breath and let your nervous system exhale.

hOMe is an immersive Yoga & Bhakti retreat led by Pippa Moss and Edo (Edo & Jo), to help that longing find its way back home. You are dearly welcome here.
COMING HOME
Most of us need two or three days before we actually arrive. Not because something's wrong. The body has its own clock, and it rarely agrees with whatever schedule got us here. Retreat life offers us the chance to step into a slower rhythm, a different pace - away from daily routines and habits. To allow the nervous system to catch up, to process, to sensitise, and to cultivate more aliveness and joy - all in the supportive village-like community that emerges as the week unfolds.

This week isn't shaped like a straight line with a specific destination or transformational promise. It's a spiral, the same ground met again each day, a little further in each time, until whatever you've been holding finally gets to rest and whatever wants to be revealed has space to emerge.

We will use the gifts of mantra, movement, meditation, breath and sound. No need to be an expert, but a willingness and curiosity to discover. We'll explore the theme of home, perhaps not as a place you arrive at, but something you remember, that was there all along.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Mornings begin in silence with Qi Gong inspired movement to meet the day gently, bare foot on the grass. We continue into morning Sadhana practice: Mantra, Kriyas, Meditation and Pranayama.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we meet for yoga asana practice, an opportunity to meet yourself with curiosity and kindness.

After a full and nourishing lunch, the afternoons offer time to relax by the pool, go on a leisurely hike through the forest, take a nap, sip a cup of tea, lie in your hammock, read a book, watch the nature....

As the day winds down, we gather for mantra practice, a Vedic sound bath, restorative yoga, or a dedicated mantra workshop going deeper into the practice itself. Two full Kirtan concerts run through the week, a live band filling the room with sound.

We will also have one day off to allow space for integration and maybe a trip to the beach for those who would like to. That evening we come together again under the new moon for kirtan, Edo's full band bringing the whole room into voice together.
YOUR HOSTS
Pippa and Edo met at a yoga teacher training course, more than ten years ago. Edo introduced Pippa to the harmonium, and mantra opened up from there. Their paths connected, then went their separate ways for a decade. Now they circle back together, to offer this essence of yoga retreat as a unique combination of their passion for movement, mantra, and meditation.

  • Edo (Edo & Jo)
    Mantra & Meditation
Edo is an internationally renowned musician, mantra artist and facilitator devoted to the transformative power of sacred sound. An award-winning singer-songwriter and major label artist, Edo’s journey shifted after a life-changing experience in India, leading him from the indie-rock stage towards a life of meditation, mantra and service. His music with Edo & Jo has received over 100 million streams worldwide. Through kirtan and mantra, Edo creates experiences that invite connection, presence and a return to the heart.
monte da orada
A family run retreat space in Odemira, in the south of Portugal. Three hours from Lisbon, two from Faro.

Homely, with just enough luxury to feel grounded and properly comfortable. Open skies and starry nights. Nature trails leading straight from the door.

A sauna to use freely. A bio pool to cool off in. A water canal for a lazy float. Many small corners to gather in, or to be alone in, whichever the day calls for.
who this is for
Maybe you already use mantra in your practice, and kirtan is a regular date in your calendar. Or maybe you've never sung one in your life and have no idea what to expect. Either way is great!

What matters more is the feeling underneath it: a sense that you need a moment to tune in, to find your way back to whatever home means for you. Curiosity and an open mind are the only prerequisites.
ACCOMMODATION
Orada offers a range of rooms, from private suites and bungalows to glamping tents and cosy shared dorms. Full options and pricing by room type are in the retreat info pack.
